Creditworthy is an internet based company providing information, products/services and programs to the Business Credit Community.  Creditworthy is a subsidiary of Meeker Enterprises, which also owns NACM TampaCreditworthy is proud to be part of the NACM family.

Much of the web site developed by Creditworthy is free and open to all; however,  the Credit Club is a fee based organization providing additional services, including:

  • Creditworthy News.

  • Public Co Direct provides information on public companies.

  • Provider Services such as business and consumer Credit Reports,  public records, credit investigation services, etc.

  • Internet Industry Credit Group Program that provides a sophisticated and powerful web based group program.

  • Credit/Collection Programs.

Mission & Goals of Creditworthy

  • To develop Creditworthy into one of the premier Business Credit Resources on the Internet

History of Creditworthy

  • 6/95: Work began on formation of Business Credit Newsgroup and Web Site.

  • 7/95: World Wide Business Credit (WWBC) was started on the World Wide Web.

  • 10/95: misc.business.credit was voted on and approved by internet community to be a newsgroup with a charter to discuss Domestic and International Business Credit topics.

  • 10/95: Changed name of "World Wide Business Credit" to "Credit Management Information & Support (CMi&s)".

  • 11/95: Received a domain name of Creditworthy.com.

  • 12/95: CMi&s started a Business Credit Mailing List called "credit_mgmt-l"

  • 1/4/96: CMi&s received over 1000 hits.

  • 3/19/96: CMi&s changed URL: http://www.creditworthy.com/~richh/

  • 3/6/96: Marney MacFadyen wrote first issue of The Internet Business Credit News Report.

  • 3/26/96: First class taught at CMi&s Credit Campus. Rich Hill was the teacher and the students were 18 prospective teachers that want to teach at the Credit Campus.

  • 3/26/96: CMi&s received over 1500 hits today.

  • 4/12/96: Mailing List (credit_mgmt-l) has reached 800 subscribers.

  • 4/30/96: Changed name of mailing list from credit_mgmt-l to creditworthy-l.

  • 5/23/96: Creditworthy-l has reached 1000 subscribers!

  • 6/17/96: CMi&s received 1799 hits today!

  • 6/17/96: John Arnold became the official CMi&s UK Webmaster.

  • 6/25/96: CMi&s received a record 2583 hits today!!

  • 8/96: CMi&s received over 78,000 hits in August!

  • 10/9/96: Diego Arboleda became the official CMi&s South America Webmaster. Diego is General Mgr for Byington Colombia S.A. in Colombia.

  • 12/9/96:  Eduardo Llamosa became the official CMi&s webmaster for Central America.  Eduardo is President of PROFANCRESA-PCR in Mexico.

  • 10/10/96 Creditworthy-l has 1500 subscribers.

  • 2/97 John Arnold dropped his UK webmaster position.

  • 2/15/97 Creditworthy-l has over 2000 subscribers.

  • 2/20/97 CMi&s received over 100,000 hits in last 30 days.

  • 5/97 Created the world's first Internet Industry Credit Group software program.

  • 5/97 An existing Industry Credit Group voted to become the first group to utilize the Internet Industry Credit Group program.  The group is hosted by NACM Ohio.

  • 6/97 Creditworthy-l (Creditworthy News) has over 3000 subscribers.

  • 8/97: Eduardo Llamosa of Mexico is the new CMi&s of Central America.  Eduardo is President of Profancresa, a Credit Reporting agency in Mexico.

  • 8/98: Creditworthy Co., incorporated.

  • 8/98: Our combined newsletters now have over 4000 subscribers.

  • 8/98: Began sending email statements to members.

  • 10/98: Work has begun on the Customer Manager Program.

  • 1/99: Changed name on website to Creditworthy Co.

  • 1/99: Creditworthy now has 7 live Internet Industry Credit Groups. 

  • Early 1999: Purchased and installed 2 new servers. 

  • Early 1999: Moved our ISP from Triax to Transport Logic.

  • Early 1999: Hired Nutech to moniter our web servers.

  • 2/99: Hired Travis Raybold to do database programming.

  • 4/99: Began beta testing IICG Version 2.

  • 4/99: Installed new Creditworthy web site. (Only partially done. Our ISP made the change before we were ready.)

  • 6/99: Hired Rodney Stever to do programming. Rod was part of the team who created RAM.

  • 7/99: Installed Webtrends to moniter number of visitors.  This was difficult as we now have 4 different servers.

  • 8/99: Version 2 of the Internet Industry Credit Group Program is now ready.

  • 8/99: Opened 21 new discussion rooms.

  • 1/00: Gave IICG presentation before 27 NACM Presidents.

  • 2/00: Developed Creditworthy Collector.  We will begin selling it in March/00 through our e-commerce site.

  • 2/00:  The Creditworthy Newsletters now have 5,000 subscribers.

  • 2/00:  NACM South Texas has signed up to use the IICG Program.

  • 2/00: NACM Western Pennsylvania has signed up to use the IICG Program for the National Metal Alloy Group.

  • 2/00:  We now have 12 groups using the IICG program

  • 3/00:  FCIB has signed up to use the IICG Program.  They indicate they will use it initially for 2 international groups.

  • 3/00:  Announced our new software product: The Creditworthy Collector.  This is the Mighty Mouse of collection programs.

  • 3/00:  Developing upload program to allow IICG members to transfer their customer records to the Creditworthy Database.

  • 4/00:  Developed Creditworthy LoanAmortizer program.

  • 6/00:  Moving servers to Dellhost in Atlanta, Ga.

  • 6/00:  NACM San Diego will license IICG program for the National Fan & Lighting Group.  Potential for other groups.

  • 6/00:  NACM Connecticut will license IICG program for the National Fine Paper Mfg group.

  • 7/00:  Creditworthy teams up with OneCreditSource.com to provide Consumer Credit Reports to Credit Club Pro Members.

  • 8/00: New groups to license the IICG program: National Metal Building Mfg, National Nursing Home Suppliers.

  • 10/00: NACM S Texas to license IICG for Southwest U.S. Construction Credit.

  • 12/5/00 Creditworthy sold to Meeker Enterprises.  They also own NACM Tampa.  Bill Meeker is President.  

  • 1/01: NACM St Louis signs to license IICG program for 11 of their Credit Groups.  They also want to utilize the Central Database and Infoshare. They will be the first to share trade experience between different groups.

  • 2/01: NACM Denver to license IICG for the National Frozen Food Group.

Business Credit History: 30+ years in Business Credit Management.  Main industries involved with were Chemical and Petroleum distribution, Forest Products and Floor Covering.

NACM member for over 25 years. Former Chairman of the Senior Credit Executive Group for 3 years. Former Director of NACM Oregon.
